I read in many places that Eric and Dylan never were a part of the trenchcoat mafia, they didn't appear on the trenchcoat mafia 1998 yearbook picture. Most of the members already graduated by 1999.
Therefore, why does the game keep refering to the killers as the trenchcoat mafia? Shouldn't the game deal with myths and not support them? _________________ "Bullet Time" - a school shooting film from Poland:

Again, the Trench Coat Mafia thing falls in with the "brave boys" comments. It is shown as just another popular myth...I can't really explain, but Danny knew they weren't in the TCM when he made the game, and only included it as a device. _________________

Great interview in my opinion, that guy asked almost all questions that I had in my mind.
After I read that interview I now see what you meant about the trenchcoat mafia, still I can't see that in-game. Other myths like the third shooter one got at least referenced to in the games dialogue. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't see any such reference to the trenchcoat mafia beeing a myth. _________________ "Bullet Time" - a school shooting film from Poland:

| "Regarding the "Trench Coat Mafia," that was an affiliation the rabid press coined after the shooting that has no merit; the game is lampooning the press' assessment of this organization at Columbine High School that Eric and Dylan weren't actually a part of. Another way of saying, "the media got it wrong with Columbine."" |
