while i initially found it entertaining to kill some gay guys. HOWEVER, i was incredibly disappointed as i found them a DISTRACTION from the game.

Played the school part and it's not much difference. BTW, is it possible to kill the SWAT team?
My suggestions: Repair the error of Eric using the Stevens double barreled shotgun and Dylan using the Savage-Springfield pump action shotgun since it was the opposite. Eric's Hi-Point Carbine and Dylan's TEC-9 use the same cartridge, 9x19mm Parabellum yet the carbine inflicts more damage in the game. Dylans TEC-9 seems automatic (sprays bullets around) although it's semi-automatic. You should introduce more rooms, more people to kill, more types, re-introduce gays (killing them is fun), improve the battle with SWAT team.

Work is ongoing.

No, it's not possible to kill the SWAT team.

I will not reintroduce the gay character. I lost a friend who shot himself over his sexual identity, so it's a close issue. It also has no relevance to the shooting, so it is cut permanently.

Changes being made in latest version:

Pushed back appearance of SWAT team. Less realistic, but more friendly gameplay-wise.

Added stairs to main school entrance. Trying to create event where Dylan and Eric stand on stairs and "shoot" at soccer field, similar to "shooting" at cops in library.

I'd love to rewrite the entire Hell level. However, it has its good points, and I don't want to fuck with the original design too much.

Rolling back some audio back to MIDI to save space. Certain songs will remain though, that I feel suit the mood better in original form as opposed to MIDI.

Update: Replaced library battle background with an actual image of the Columbine library.

Patti's phone call graphic is still glitched, some pixels are transparent. Not sure how to fix it.

Sounds very interesting. Many people have disliked the Hell level - although others really enjoy it. Not sure it's possible to please everyone with a game that pushes so many buttons anyway. I think your efforts here are very promising, altogether.

Sorry about me being gone and not releasing a zip. But before I post any zip's... I found this thing made by this french guy that converts rm2k3 projects into RPG Maker XP! The quality will make it much more smooth. Plus, the battle system is extremely similar to rm2000. Should I convert, tweak it, then send it? Or Just give it now?

The Hell level kicks ass! I always love a good challenge in a game. The people who complain about it are probably the type who hate any rpg that isn't cookie-cutter easy or that isn't Final Fantasy. (which can be fairly tough)

While I did like Hell, it did seem to drag on and the layout made it very easy to get lost.
I really hope this project isn't dead.

Work is now resuming.

Need beta testers, for one.

It seems my mp3 fix doesn't work for all people unless they install an add-on, and I have to search through my files.

A lot more is going to change now that I read the book, "Columbine", namely fixing myths regarding Eric joining the military, the idea that Eric didn't harass others, and really want to try to expose him for the psychopath he was by tying in some references to the web site about Brooks and the van break-in.

The hell level... personally, I'd cut a majority of it. I do feel a large faction of it, such as the speech aftermath, comments to Satan, should stay. However, I don't want to damage the ideals of the original game. It shall remain.

Feel free to ask me about the status of the project, or offer help.

You need the English-language version of the Run-Time Package. I will include it in the next zip, since it really should have been in there. My guess is I never noticed since I have the editor and the original game installed.

Glad to see you're back! I can betatest, and I will add you on Steam. However I would try to suggest not to take Columbine too seriously. A lot of it is well, wrong. Still, from the changes it seems like you may be only adding stuff. In any case, good luck!

Things I am still having trouble with:

Library 911 call... the image I have of "Patti" under the desk calling 911 has some kind of issue with transparent pixels in-game. Not sure what's going on there.

Need to test and make sure all music cues work.

Lost my original edit for columbine library battle background, have to recreate from the source.

Need help scripting new plot points and events. Knowledge of RPGMaker helps.

The worst part is image conversion.

I really would like to convert this whole project to RPGMaker XP or RPG Maker VX, but I don't know of any cracks for them.

Oh, it was much more then an argument. You basically set me up to take a fall for you.

Also, I see no evidence of trolls. Except, perhaps you. I'm being polite enough as is keeping most of the details private, even though you REALLY don't deserve it. However, I'm more then happy to bring it all out into the open if you so wish.

I can't take them down if they stole them from where they originally got them. In fact, I did delete the posts, but they still have them mirrored.

You've linked to this very forum. You do realize the people you've linked it to are known hackers and trolls, right?

Size is a bit large due to orphan files (some music mp3's might be unused and safe to cut since I had to go back to wav for compatibility).

Tried to script some new flashbacks but had no luck. Still trying to figure out how to really add new material.

I did add the only photo I could find of the rooftop repairman some thought was a sniper to the game.

Next release will trim down the filesize by removing unneeded music files I left in by accident, and some unused graphics.

I just had a thought for the unused room (cute message, btw!):-edit- okay...I just found the gym for the first time...fml. I suck. But how about the science area...From what I understand, it was a larger area, and usually those necessitate double doors in able to accommodate the flow of students...Just a thought. Other than that, phenomenal mod so far. Smile
-edit again, frigging afterthoughts- One other thing: Will you please rid this game of Brenda once and for all...Change it to, I dunno, Robyn or something. I just hate seeing that PBFFH's name (PBFFH=psycho bitch fangirl from hell, my new nickname for her.)
